Portland's EV Strategy at a glance:

The City has developed a strategy to address the many issues around adoption of this new technology: "Electric Vehicles- The Portland Way” was adopted by the Portland City Council on July 20, 2010.

One of the key areas in the document addresses streamlining the permitting process for charging stations.  Currently, it is possible to obtain a permit instantly online and have the installation inspected in as quickly as 24-48 hours.  Visit our permitting section for a walk-through of the process.
